Cambridge already experiences serious gridlock during both morning and evening rush hours. There is a lack of traffic control officers at gridlock hotspots. City traffic signals are not synchronized to allow a continuous flow of traffic on major streets. "Blocking the Box" is a common, daily occurrence. The City has not taken any steps to alleviate the causes of gridlock. In addition, the Cambridge Residents Alliance has estimated that more development will add more than 50,000 more car trips per day. The CRA proposes that the City perform a citywide transportation study that looks at all heavily traveled streets and intersections.Where am I relevant?
